Built upon Zebra’s proven Xi IIIPlus platform, the R110 Xi and R170 Xi printer/encoders are designed for high performance and mission-critical dependability in the most demanding environments. They deliver legendary, round-the-clock reliability thanks to the rugged, heavy-gauge-steel durability of Zebra’s high-performance Xi series, in 4-inch and 6-inch print widths.
Multi-Protocol Versatility with Free, Easy Upgrades
With built-in multi-protocol flexibility, these R Xi models can be upgraded easily to meet future requirements. Protect your RFID investments against the uncertainty of changing protocols and standards: Run with Zebra.
Guaranteed Upgrade to Future Protocols
Only Zebra’s R110 Xi and R170 Xi printer/encoders guarantee compatibility with future protocols—including EPCglobal’s soon-to-be-ratified Generation 2 standard—with the ease of a free, downloadable software upgrade. For suppliers to Wal-Mart and the Department of Defense (DoD), it’s a permanent solution with ironclad investment protection!
The Thingmagic Mercury4e RFID reader module features a unique software architecture, which allows remote software upgrades for new protocols, including the forthcoming EPC Generation 2, which will be downloadable free of charge on Zebra’s Web site.
Multi-Protocol Ensures Maximum Flexibility for each Application
Zebra R110 Xi and R170 Xi printer/encoders are the first and only multi-protocol RFID printer/encoders to provide fully integrated support for EPC Class 1 and Class 0, Matrics’ 0+ (read/write), ISO 18000-06B and Philips UCODE 1.19. Zebra’s R Xi multi-protocol models are the only printer/encoders to embed ThingMagic’s Mercury4e RFID reader module, which uses advanced software radio technology to read and encode virtually any EPC tag, without compromising performance. The reader’s unique software architecture allows remote software upgrades for new protocols, including the forthcoming EPC Generation 2, which will be downloadable free of charge from Zebra’s Web site.
Cutting-Edge Features
- Automatic inlay position calibration -- Only from Zebra! Saves users the time and frustration of manually calculating the inlay program position on new labels.
- Multiple RFID power settings -- Users can adjust the pitch or “spread” of radio waves to accommodate different-sized transponders, for even the smallest labels.
- Flexible inlay placement -- A Zebra exclusive since our very first printer/encoder, this feature lets users keep label formats intact while ensuring higher read rates.
- XML-enabled printing -- Unique to Zebra’s RFID printer/encoders, allows easy integration into enterprise systems without middleware— lowering cost of ownership and easing transition to new label formats.
- Models for 4- and 6-inch label widths -- Gives users the flexibility to print and encode most popular label and transponder sizes. Zebra’s is the first 6-inch printer/encoder.
- Easier programming -- The Zebra Programming Language® is now even better! We streamlined it to make it more intuitive while ensuring continued support to legacy ZPL applications.
